A Labor of Love
I first started adjusting photos in Photoshop when I worked for a weekly newspaper, where I was an editor, writer and photographer. My first real effort at photo restoration was a labor of love.
There was a treasured photograph of my parents from the 60s, it was one of a kind and the negative had been lost long ago. The original and the final results are on this page. It has become a family heirloon and now there's a digital negative. I learned a lot along the way.

My interest in restoring old photos grew even more as I discovered an old box of photos my mother had tucked away. There were photos of ancestors I barely remember and some I'd never seen before.
Since my mother had a box and a couple of photo albums full of old pictures in need of restoring, I had a full scale project on my hands. I'm still working on it.

I am an active member of
NAPP (National Assocaiton of Photoshop Professionals) and have taken classes from Adobe's top instructors, receiving 3 Continuing Education Units through their courses. I am currently studying to achieve accreditation as an ACE (Adobe Certified Expert).

In reality Delaney Studio is just me and a room full of computers and other equipment. I have a son who sometimes helps out, he's currently is Iraq, and a niece who is a photographer in Texas. Therefore each photo is handled indiviually. I do all of my own work and do not "outsource" jobs to other people or countries. I believe every family snapshot or faded photograph has a story to tell. I will make every effort to tell your photo's story the way you envision. You and your photographs will be treated with the care, respect and individual attention you deserve. I will always be honest with you about the cost of a repair or other service and the amount of time it will take. If I'm unable to repair your photo to your 100% satisfaction, you will pay nothing. If for some reason I feel I can't repair your photo, I will inform you as soon as possible and make other suggestions.
I am an award winning photographer, graphic artist, designer and journalist. I use my 20 years of experience along with state of the art software to restore your treasured photographs into family heirlooms.

I am committed to helping you preserve your family's history .
